Tropical Mermaid Bridal Shower
‘Trading in Her Tail for a Veil’
With a love for mermaids and the sea, I fell in love with the idea of a mermaid bridal shower theme for one of my closest bestie’s, Kelsey. Fun det, not only is Kelsey one of my best friends, but she also married my cousin Rob, so we are officially family as well. Every girlfriends dream come true! Planning Kelsey’s shower was too much fun, as her & I have always shared a love for the magic of mermaids. We had gifted & collected mermaid items together over the years from our tropical beach trips and it all was the perfect inspiration to build the design & decor around her Tropical Mermaid Bridal Shower.
The concept came to life around the bright blue green water & tropical colors surrounding the ocean. Mermaid green sequin linens, seashells, & tropical foliage set the scene for our seaside celebration. Vibrant Mermaid signs paired with cut sea glass and small palm leaves helped navigated the room while pearls dripped overhead. The bar held added touches of pineapples with gold, ceramic, & painted pineapples added in. The food centered around a ‘Build Your Own Poke Bowl Bar’ paired with a crisp Rosé, the Bride’s favorite, that sported a fun Mermaid label. A Sweet’s Bar concluded the set up with a Mermaid scale cake topped with a ‘Kiss the Girl’ topper, a throw back to our childhood favorite, the Little Mermaid, along with bright colored Macaroons, chocolate candies, & other treats. Pictures of the Bride + Groom were displayed captured in a fishing net labeled “Two Less Fish in the Sea” for the perfect personalized touch in this Tropical Mermaid Bridal Shower. The details of this soiree came together flawlessly!
