When McKenzie reached out to me about helping her plan her wedding day, I knew it was going to be a special one for me! I grew up with McKenzie and played volleyball under her at Yosemite High School. Her family owned one of our local hang outs at Bass Lake and always felt like family. McKenzie & Dennis had originally been booked for their wedding in 2020 at The Ahwahnee Hotel, a famous & historical hotel in Yosemite Valley, but the Ahwahnee Hotel unfortunately cancelled all events due to the covid pandemic.  McKenzie & Dennis were dead set on still getting married on their set wedding date of October 17^th, 2020 and decided to move the event to her parents home in North Fork. The wedding itself was set to be small from the start and so we continued on with plans for 30 guests with a plated dinner following their ceremony all set in McKenzie’s parents gorgeous mountain home setting. The Saturday following the intimate wedding affair, was the real party! A larger gathering for around 100 guests at the family owned Forks Resort on Bass Lake. This second half was more laid back with a BBQ dinner and lots of dancing! The celebration wedding weekend was a fun success and a bit of a high school reunion all at the same time.
